Dark Sky and ENERTRAG Systemtechnik inside the world’s tallest wind turbine tower
During a visit to GICON, we had the opportunity to gain an interesting insight into the development and technical features of an exceptional high-altitude wind turbine.
With a hub height of 300 metres, a rotor diameter of 126 metres, and a 3.6 MW VENSYS turbine, the installation places particular demands on planning, technology, and safety.
One part of the project is the technical equipment for aviation obstacle lighting and Aircraft Detection Lighting Systems (ADLS). ENERTRAG Systemtechnik GmbH and Dark Sky jointly supplied the corresponding systems for this purpose.
The visit also provided an opportunity for a personal exchange on technical solutions, project requirements, and the further development of modern wind turbines.
