Dark Sky Enertrag Systemtechnik continues its successful expansion in the Dutch market. Following the signing of a contract for the supply and installation of Aircraft Detection Lighting Systems (ADLS) for wind farms in the province of Limburg, the first phase of the project has now been successfully completed. Two wind farms have been equipped with our ADLS systems, with additional installations scheduled to take place over the coming weeks.
The Limburg project represents the next step in our activities in the Netherlands. Last year, we successfully completed our first project in the northern part of the country, where our ADLS systems are now fully operational. By activating obstacle lighting only when an aircraft is detected within the relevant airspace, the systems significantly reduce light pollution while maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety. As a result, the lights remain switched off for the vast majority of the time, benefiting both local communities and the surrounding environment.
Once all installations in Limburg have been completed, the project will enter the approval process conducted by the ILT (Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport), the Netherlands' Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate. As part of this process, a series of flight tests will be carried out to verify the performance and reliability of the installed systems under real operating conditions.
We are especially proud of our team at Dark Sky Enertrag Systemtechnik in Prenzlau. Through dedication, close collaboration and perseverance, this relatively small team successfully navigated a demanding and lengthy negotiation process, earned the trust of our customers and opened the door to a new market for our products. This achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished through teamwork, expertise and a shared commitment to excellence.
The successful implementation of the Limburg project marks another important milestone for our company and reflects the growing demand for intelligent ADLS solutions that combine aviation safety with environmental responsibility.
