Aviation Detection Lighting Systems automatically turns off wind turbine lighting when it is not required. Through TCL, this advanced technology is now seamlessly integrated into a lighting system, enabling effortless outfitting of new and existing turbines.
Versatile application options
The TCL system was developed to be retrofitted in existing wind turbines as well as to be installed in new turbines already at the factory. As a result, it offers a flexible solution to BNK requirements for both existing turbines and new projects. The system does not require integration into existing networks or connection to central or multilateral BNK systems.
Cost efficiency and predictability
The combination of aviation lights and ADLS in one system allows a cost-efficient production of the hardware. Thanks to a special WEA-linked license agreement to the transponder patents, license fees can be calculated into the offers. This enables operators and manufacturers to better plan and fulfill their BNK obligations at predictable costs.
The system combines firing and ADLS functions in one package with few components. This allows for easy installation, as no extensive adjustments to the WTG manufacturer’s processes are required. This integration can be implemented like a conventional lighting system without major changes.
Easy maintenance and monitoring
The LED beacons used are proven components from ENERTRAG Systemtechnik’s proXS series. The TCL system monitors these lights and enables condition monitoring via Dark Sky’s online tool. A service contract regulates the scope of maintenance, ensuring smooth implementation and long-term support.
